The HZZZ pre-thickening screen scroll centrifuge is a constantly functioning concentrating filtration centrifuge with a double-cone drum design. It combines the features of a decanter (horizontal scroll sedimentation) centrifuge with a screen scroll filtration centrifuge, allowing for continuous feeding, concentration, washing, dewatering, and discharge at full working speed, making it ideal for automated operation.
The machine is widely employed in the chemical, environmental, salt-production, mining, and pharmaceutical industries, and it is very effective on crystalline particles in mother liquors with low solids content and materials that are oily, colloidal, or organic in nature. It has been used successfully to separate sodium chloride, sodium carbonate, sodium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, copper sulfate, Glauber's salt (mirabilite), oxalic acid, citric acid, crystalline soda, sodium bicarbonate, ethanediamine, p-nitroaniline, trichloroisocyanuric acid, lactose, polyvinyl chloride, and plastic granules.

The pre-thickening screen scroll centrifuge is a hybrid device that incorporates the features of a screen scroll filtration centrifuge and a decanter sedimentation centrifuge. The feed liquid enters the inner cavity of the sedimentation scroll through the feed pipe once the main drum is operating ordinarily. The liquid flows uniformly from the inner-cavity liquid outlet into the concentration zone of the outer drum under the centrifugal field. The liquid phase overflows through the concentration-zone overflow port, while the solid phase settles on the drum wall and is pushed toward the small end of the scroll and into the filtration zone by the speed difference between the scroll and the drum. The solid phase is retained within the screen and is pushed to the discharge port by the filtration scroll, while the remaining liquid in the material is filtered out through the screen apertures and discharged.
Spray washing can be implemented when a washing process is necessary, as the scroll propels the cake toward the discharge port, resulting in satisfactory washing outcomes. The mother liquor from the concentration zone and the liquid from the filtration zone can be collected and discharged separately.
